Weatherman Reinier van den Berg talks about myenergi

Our passion for creating a better future for both people and our planet led us to cross paths with weatherman and TV presenter Reinier van den Berg. The choice of our ECO products in his climate neutral home is of course obvious. Besides the convenience of being able to recharge at home, it is especially important to him to make as much use as possible of his own solar panels. And that is done with the greatest of ease, as can be seen in this video.

Timeline and milestones

myenergi was founded in 2016 by co-founders Lee Sutton and Jordan Brompton, whose passion for renewable energy drove their vision to optimize the use of renewable energy at home. They anticipated the direction of electrification, harnessing renewable energy and behavioral change, and sought to design and manufacture a range of innovative products that would facilitate this shift. Together, their product range - all designed and manufactured in the UK - is the first eco-smart home energy solution developed for consumers in this field.

myenergi has grown significantly since its inception, from a team of just six in 2016 to a workforce of more than 400 today. 2017 marked the release of our first three products - eddi, zappi and harvi - and the establishment of our loyal tribe of customers. A fourth product - hub - was added in 2018, followed by the myenergi app and zappi V2 in 2019.

Growth really took off in 2020; we opened our first international subsidiaries in Germany and Benelux, followed by Ireland in 2021. In the UK, we grew rapidly out of our existing premises and in 2021 opened our new brand new headquarters in Stallingborough, Lincolnshire, where a second 45,000-square-meter manufacturing facility is now under construction (opening expected Q2-2023)
